Pastor Aaron Buer continues our EPIC series by exploring the book of Judges and the story of Deborah. Through Israel’s repeated cycle of rebellion, oppression and deliverance, we discover how easily we can get stuck in destructive patterns of sin. We learn that partial obedience is actually disobedience, and that tolerating temptation in our lives always leads to consequences. This message challenges us to identify areas where we’re delaying obedience and to take active measures against sin. Ultimately, we see that Israel’s longing for a righteous king finds its fulfillment in Jesus, the King of Kings, who calls us to submit to his rule and walk faithfully in his ways.
