Israel carried out new strikes on Iran overnight as the conflict entered its seventh day, prompting Tehran residents to describe the latest bombardment as the “worst night” so far, according to local accounts.
An underground bunker reportedly intended for use by former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was destroyed in an operation involving about 50 Israeli fighter jets, Iranian officials said.
The Israel Defense Forces also announced a “broad‑scale wave” of strikes on Beirut.
The IDF said Iran launched additional attacks on Israel overnight, while Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain reported intercepting incoming projectiles.
Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps said it attacked American and Israeli bases in the Persian Gulf, Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion Airport, and a military complex in Haifa.
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said American strikes on Iran are expected to “surge dramatically” in the coming period.
In the U.K., Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy said more repatriation flights are planned from Oman after the first government‑chartered aircraft from the Middle East arrived at London Stansted Airport.
Britain also updated its travel advice for Cyprus, warning that the possibility of a terrorist attack “cannot be ruled out.”
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said there is a high global threat of terrorism affecting U.K. interests and British nationals, including from groups that view the U.K. as a target.
