The Graduation Mass was attended by local civic officials and other dignitaries.

For the Bishop, the Jubilee Year proclaimed by the late Pope Francis and celebrated under the theme “Pilgrims of Hope” -the Holy Year is an invitation to undertake concrete actions in addressing injustice and social inequalities in the world and more specifically in Mozambican society.

The Bishop advised the graduates to heed the call to “seek true peace from God through a disarmed heart.” He concluded his homily by praying that the graduating students would become instruments of justice, peace, and development.

This is the seventh graduation ceremony of the Catholic University of Mozambique in Gurue, and it coincides with the institution’s preparations for its Seventh International Congress, which will be held under the theme: “Catholic Universities: Building Bridges for a Sustainable Future.”
