Spiritual growth brings justice – CSMonitor.com

If we see or experience injustice, we might react with anger or resentment or just feel helpless. But Christian Science uncovers the root of any injustice, which can be anything from ignorance of God, good, and the nature of His creation to a blatant disregard for God. And through our own spiritual growth, we can discover how a better understanding of God and His creation can reverse and eliminate injustices.

Years ago, I was in a business relationship with an individual whom I believed to have an honorable character and to share my ethical values. However, he started behaving in ways that I believed seriously harmed our business dealings. When I found it wise to legally dissolve the relationship, this person took steps to resist proper legal proceedings. I was angry, resentful, and overwhelmed by this.

I reached out to a Christian Science practitioner, and we prayed together, acknowledging God as Principle and as expressing justice, wisdom, and goodness throughout His creation. The Bible says that God is “excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice” (Job 37:23).
